Evoqua expands in North America with Smith Engineering acquisition

Evoqua Water Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Smith Engineering Inc, a US designer, producer and servicer of customized excessive purity water remedy gear.
Headquartered in Chaska, Minnesota, Smith Engineering supplies water therapy services and products, together with filtration, UV, reverse osmosis, and deionization, for the biotech/pharmaceutical, data centre, meals and beverage, healthcare, medical device and microelectronics markets. The firm has more than 1,200 customers in North America.

“Smith Engineering has built a stable popularity as a trusted partner, providing reliable excessive purity water options and companies to their broad customer portfolio,” said Ron Keating, Evoqua’s CEO. “This addition will further strengthen our service footprint in North America, enabling us to better serve our prospects.”
When the deal closes, the Smith Engineering enterprise will be part of Evoqua’s Integrated Solutions and Services section.
