A leading Kenyan warehouse and logistics service provider Cold Solutions, says it will make investments USD 70 million to construct the biggest chilly chain facility in East Africa to handle challenges that face transportation of perishable items.
Cold Solution’s 15,000 sqm flagship facility in Tatu City Special Economic Zone in Nairobi will be the largest, most advanced and environment friendly within the area. The chilly chain facility is flexibly designed to cater for numerous temperature ranges from +26 to -40 C and a number of product ranges, from recent fruit and vegetables, to prescription drugs and vaccines, meats and poultry, and frozen meals.
