Amarinth provides API 610 pumps for the West Qurna-2 growth project in Iraq

Amarinth has delivered two separate orders of API 610 pumps, together worth £1.2 million, for the West Qurna-2 expansion challenge in Iraq.

West Qurna-2, situated roughly 65 km north-west of the seaport town of Basra, is one of the world’s largest onshore oilfields. The enlargement venture is predicted to increase the oilfield’s production capacity from the current four hundred,000 barrels oil per day (bpd) to 480,000 bpd, with a goal to realize a total production capacity of 800,000 bpd by 2025.
The first order, from Cannon Artes, was for seven tremendous duplex API 610 OH1 pumps. The bespoke designed pumps are for a low shear application and required specialist Plan 53B seal assist systems incorporating air cooled seals and stainless-steel accumulators.
