KSB has introduced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase expansion of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the growth were accredited in 2013 in response to growing market demand for bigger equipment. Since then, weksler ea14 has completed upgrades, added tens of 1000’s of sq. feet to its foundry, increased furnace capacity, completed construction on a distribution centre, and received approval for 3 additional phases of improvement.
With the completion of the project, KSB has quadrupled its capacity to mould castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), increased its most pouring output by as a lot as sixty six,000 lbs (30,000 kg), decreased the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleaning stations for big castings, applied new expertise and effectivity solutions, and doubled employee locker room services.
KSB went forward with the project’s completion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.

In 2020, the KSB Group launched KSB Mining, a new market-driven organization providing experience on centrifugal pumps to mining operations.
The expanded facilities in Grovetown serve as the headquarters of GIW Slurry Pumps.
GIW currently employs over 600 people at its Grovetown facility.
